2025/26 David Moyes

Why has the genius got less points than Moyes? They look closer to the relegation zone than Europe. 😆
As soon as he announced he was leaving they tailed off in the league. Happens to loads of managers. If they win the conference then Glasner will have won the FA cup and Europa, all within last 4 years. Now tell me who would you rather have managing the club?

I said this in the "do you want to keep Moyes". I don't want to because he wants older players with 0 resale. We'll be back in the mire with him in absolutely no time because we have to keep buying his "trusted" players and, once they age out and leave with us on a free, he'll be in for more players that leave us on a free.
He simply has to go if this club are serious.

New owners and new ground should be a fresh start for all of us and we still have this fella lingering about lowering standards.

He is part of the problem.

I thank him for last season, but he has blown his opportunity this season with losing out to Brighton Bournemouth Brentford.
Not winnning any of the 'must win' games this season like today.

Everton fans aren’t allowed a fresh start. There’s always something the club does tos hoot itself in the foot. We’ll probably get rid of Moyes next season and get silva back in, another manager absolutely allergic to success.

If we want to win, just go and hire a proven winner. It’s not that hard, Villa did it, Palace did it, but this club refuses to do it.

Lost so much faith in Moyes recently.
I can see why West Ham fans wanted him gone.
I know they are probably relegated now but I’m beginning to think 8th 9th or 10th is about the ceiling for us with him.
We need to be more adventurous and if that means taking chances with a more forward thinking manager then so be it.
A faint heart never won a fair maiden.

He's not got the right mentality to progress the club. We have to decide what we want to be. If we want to spend very little money and aim for 10th while writing off cups, then Moyes is the man. If we want to actually be competitive, get into Europe, and eventually win something, then sticking with him is absolutely pointless. He doesn't have the adaptability to change at this stage of his career.

Moyes is a good manager. Been very good for Everton. But is 10th really enough moving forward.

"best of the rest" was his ceiling and he even bottled that moniker. You know exactly what you are going to get with him and you won't win anything.

Rubbish recruitment. Players not ready for the start of the season (Kinnear’s own words). Abysmal home record. Both derbies surrendered in a cowardly manner. Both cups treated like an inconvenience and out to bottom half prem opposition. And now from a position where it was easier to qualify for Europe than not we’ve managed to bottle our way out of this one as well.

Well done Everton, another year of absolutely nothing for the fanbase to get excited about. You never fail to completely screw us do you.

Just a massive waste of time for everyone, we've learnt nothing and flapped all the big moments. Pathetic and predictable. Sigh.

I get that people perceive Moyes as a manager that can't get beyond a certain level, but he did finish in the top 6 with us on a number of occasions and he also won a trophy while he was away.

If this was a new manager in his first full season I'd imagine/hope there'd be a few more people of the opinion mid table football is a natural progression of where we are as a club - as frustrating as it has been at times.

At the end of his first game against Villa we were so bad that I'd have been surprised if you'd told me we'd be in the Premier League never mind pushing towards Europe now.

It's still my opinion that we need better players more than we need a better manager.
