2025/26 David Moyes

In the last 3 games, we have lost 4 points in stoppage time. We would be tied for 6th if we could manage games better. Not good enough wee Davey.
Shocking stat. But it s bit mad that our managers have to take responsibility for literally every kick and decision players make. A player plays well it’s Moyes fault for not playing them more often. Individual error, slip, missed chance, it’s Moyes fault for picking them.

I’m not wedded to him being here and look forward to our next “modern” manager. But come on?

Focus tonight has been on Patto, Charly, the ref etc for their equaliser. Now it’s all Moyes fault.

We lost the win because of the second goal. That’s 100% all on the players on the pitch Lost focus, not ready for the restart, thought the game was won, away end emptying. If we’d have kept it 3-1 for about 1 minute it was game over. The players switched off for about 5 seconds and we conceded.

If the 11 millionaires on the pitch make a succession of bizarre decisions in the last few minutes, sometimes it’s justified to blame them not the manager. That Barry/Ndiaye kept turning down the chance to run down time near the corner flag is entirely due to their inexperience and ego, I’m sure they weren’t coached to keep giving the ball back or trying to dribble past 3 defenders on stippage time.

or moyes could have started Obrien at center half instead of keane.

I don’t understand his attitude in the post match conference with being a little dismissive about Europe. Despite the disappointments lately we are still only three points behind Brentford with the same number of games played and finishing eighth could possibly be enough to qualify?

The simple fact of the matter is we need 3 or 4 top quality players to compete over 90 mins with a team of Man City quality.
Our bench is nowhere near top 8 quality.
And all your hatred of Moyes will not change that fact.
And anothet simple fact of the matter is Moyes only made changes today because of Gana's injury and McNeil's ongoing battle with a nasty bout of " notverygooditus" and three games in a row we have been incapable of basic defending at the end...not blaming Moyes for all the late goals but if it is a pattern, maybe the manager can address it???
