2025/26 David Moyes

Some people just decided they hate Moyes ever since he left the first time and will just beat that drum regardless of how we play or where we finish in the league. It's tedious and tiring.

labelling his last time here as a success when you look at it in the grand scheme of things didn’t do himself any favours imo nor did his attitude towards certain teams away from home.

I doubt you get a majority feeling adulation from a fan base when you look what was served up overall.

How many cups did he win with us in 10 years again mate? Remind me again…

How many have we won since he left?

No, how many times have we been in Europe? Or even top half?

He had zero money when he was our manager last time and he had us regularly in Europe.

Do you not remember us not signing a player for two years and us still qualifying for Europe?

I dont hate Moyes. I didnt want him back as I believe football has moved on. But if you look at my posts im not a regular Moyes basher.

But people have valid points. He sets teams up not to lose. He's similar to Dyche in that way, its always safety first. He's in a different league to Dyche and i'm not denying he has done more than I expected since his return. But he's not the man to take us forward in my opinion.

You have an obligation to win from certain positions. We ended that game tonight like Mark Allen did the other night.

Shat ourselves.
Not on Moyes though. Which is what this thread is.

The players didn't manage the game well enough at the end. 3 or 4 players chasing after the ball when Donaruma was out of goal when chance of getting the ball was minimal. Then being stuck out of position, is what led to the final corner which they ended up indirectly scoring from.

I have no issues with the subs. KDH and Rohl were both absolutely spent, arguably Ndiaye should have also got subbed as he was also spent. And then Tim got crippled. People just picking holes in that because we conceded

Been a few times lately when it seems Everton players are dead on their feet and not taken off timely. Obviously they’ve got access to real time data etc so could just be me being critical.

I don’t want to bury myself here as he wasn’t the messiah but noted Martinez’s subs were refreshing in direct comparison to Moyes before him. I’d like to more attacking risk taken by subs and tweaks when a game is won, not just when we need to chase it.

Ah so knowledgeable, what would you have done? Apply for the job in the summer. I'll be voting for you in the local elections too . Up the Tories

Game management and set pieces have been recurring problems for this team this season. Both of them are at least partly down to the manager.

For a manager who prides himself on a good defensive structure 3 stoppage goals in 3 games is so poor. It can always happen of course but 3 weeks in a row has just crippled our season.

He won one…the same cup that Palace win this summer likely as the conference league is easy for an English team to win

I’m not talking about west ham Look at his attempts at trying to win cups this year…how did that work out
