2025/26 David Moyes

Far too open today. We should have treated this like an away game and looked to frustrate them. There's been no control since about the 10th minute. Chasing shadows.

This is a damaging result today, though, no two ways about it.

Four points from Burnley, Forest, and Brentford - and a home hammering in there to boot doesn't scream contract extension. The next two will be very telling.

That said, the Friedkins shouldn't be too quick to point too many fingers at the manager when they oversaw an absolute shambles of a summer window. I remain to be convinced of their competence AND ambition.

He's had a stinker.

Can forgive the setup, but the changes at HT were miles off.

Said in match thread issue with first half was a bit balance, but mainly intensity.

To go 2 upfront was a bad mistake.
I cant forgive the set up.
He had 2 clean sheets and changed his back line.
JoB offered no Support to Dibbling so he got stranded
It's clear as day that McNeil is best on the left but we never try grealish at 10.
absolute mess of an initial set up.

Some of our fans really need to reassess where most of this squad is at level wise. We've improved considerably under Moyes compared to the last 5 years but we're simply not that good yet either. Stop labelling players with some of the best in the league. We're 2 or 3 good transfer windows away from playing european football and not getting battered by sides like Spurs, Newcastle and Brentford.

I'll probably get called negative, of course. I'm not, I'm just not deluded about where we're at.

We have wasted the Summer transfer window budget though to make an immediate improvement this season, that much is obvious. And he's got to take some blame for this.

I'll never understand those substitutions unless they were him sending a message for signings this window.

Just blew up the team and our chances.

I agree.

Small margins and we sit 13th.
