2025/26 David Moyes

No fix with Moyes. His transfer dealings in the summer have been largely disastrous. Two hits out of six. Angus's percentage failure rate is spot on (KDH and Grealish v Barry, Aznou, Dibling, and Rohl).

Need a change to the transfer committee. Angus won't be going anywhere...
so someone else needs to deal with the transfers TFG will back us

The issue is, it shouldn't be Barry/Beto or Harrison/Lindstrom conundrum eggs. He's signed off on Barry and Dibling and that's 62m worth of players that have contributed 1 goal and 0 assists. Its not good enough, it's not acceptable because we cant afford to spunk money on rank average players who dont fit how we want to play as it isnt 2017 anymore where we can waste money and then suffer for the next 8 years.

Its shocking recruitment and Moyes has played a huge part of that.

….100%, I have zero argument with that.

It never is mate. Ever since the 90s we seem to be in situations like these once a handful of years.

The problem is stability only gets you so far, the club needs to look at substantial progress over the next couple of years because we will simply find ourselves in the same position or worse.

Like the manager said in the summer, without European footy it’s even more difficult to attract much better players and there is a chance that is exactly where we will be again this summer.
i feel you brother x

i’m still not getting deflated and won’t be

we’re ok and have been a mess for years

Moyes doesn't take risks. Not in his game-plan, not with trying young talent, not with opening up a game when behind. Just never.

He did a terrific job last year and will probably do enough to have us a comfortable season. But I would love to see a manager at the helm who has a positive game-plan. Fluid, attacking football. We have seen quite some managers like that the past few years at midtable teams so why can't we get one and build from there?
You needs players. Do people genuinely think anyone will do better with no investment in the squad.

Fluid attacking football without the players will just result in pumpings.

In Diblings defense, it's hard to get goals and assists when you don't play.

Honestly think our problems today were less tactical and more a complete lack of quality. Some of our play in the final third was absolutely woeful. Definitely not premier league level standard.
Tactics were fine, we gave it a go but as you said we’re just toothless up top with too many rushed passes or floated balls. The counter break for Barry’s goal against Forest showed what we can do in attacking areas, they just need to show it more

I think toothless is being generous. I thought we were hopeless. Didn't see anything positive from any attacker on the field. Some of them couldn't even make 5 - 10 yard passes.

Unacceptable attacking performance and the players who played in attack need to look at themselves after that sort of effort.
