2025/26 David Moyes

So what? Why does it matter where we were in October? You said your expectation for the season was top 10, so you must be delighted we’re currently on track to challenge for a European spot. Instead it would appear you are absolutely fuming and trying to change the goalposts, to the surprise of nobody.

If the league is so bad then your buddy the Kopite Tory scab should have no trouble getting top half with his £400m squad, would you agree? No excuses about extra games too, because Palace have the same number of extra games and a far smaller squad and are currently 4th.
I repeat: I am not furious or fuming. I'm just not impressed, because as I've stated umpteen times before - this is a piss poor league.

Moyes' post match comments annoy me though. He's gone back on his summer claim that he was targeting Europe...now there's an expectation of it he denies it and says everyone needs to remember where we've come from.

It’s dogmuck mate.

Lots of average teams, of which we are one, that’s why any team can beat any “in the middle.”

It’s not strong - it’s poor.

Competitive/close results don’t necessarily mean it’s a strong league.

It’s by far the strongest league in Europe - the traditional ‘top’ sides aren’t great this year, but the rest of the league, right down to Wolves, are stronger, making it very tight.

It’s been mentioned that Bayern have a plus 40 goal difference already. Now that tells me a lot about the German league in comparison.

In common with every other manager basically ever, weird

Disagree.

I think there's less great teams and a lot of 'above average' teams

Competitive close results can mean anything. There's more teams that are great, poor, or somewhere in the middle. I think there's a lot more teams who are somewhere in the middle than normal, personally. A lot of the teams you'd expect to be in their own pack at the front; Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, are all very beatable. Equally I think there's a lot of teams who you'd expect to be from 11th-17th who are very hard to beat; Palace, Brighton, Sunderland, Us.

Doesn't make the league dog muck.

Agree mate. People hark back to previous years when the likes of Charlton Athletic or Wimbledon were finishing top 6 with the most mediocre teams, or you would have absolute dross like Robbie Savage or Kevin Nolan playing midfield for teams in the upper echelons.

It’s such a higher standard now, even Wolves have 2 Brazilian international midfielders.

Tell me more about what an amazing achievement it would be if Dyche finishes above 3 other teams with a £400m squad in this diabolical league.

That will be the real indicator of whether he has learnt from past mistakes in my opinion. If he sticks, he has definitely learnt, if he twists and reverts back to his preferred line up the it’s the same old emperor wearing a new set of clothes. If a player comes in or is moved into a new position and smashes it, then he has to be left there for the next game or what is the motivation for them trying their best? KDH has said he will play anywhere for example, but he and everyone who has watched him, know his current position is best for him and best for the team. Hopefully the team that started against forest will be the team thats starts against chelsea, and again against arsenal if they play well in the chelsea game. Keeping a winning side together is essential at the moment, the motivation and team spirit is there for all to see, he must not tamper with it!

There is no chance a disjointed lineup like the one starting against Forest is what we take with us to Stamford Bridge. I get where you're trying to go with a meritocratic approach and all, but lining up like we lined up at the weekend at Chelsea away would be downright silly - we did so mainly because Tim and Gana were suspended.

There is also ample reason to at least get a bit more out of Gana and Ndiaye before they leave for Afcon. To me, it seems most likely we line up like we did against Utd away, where Garner and Gana played DM and Coleman at RB. The points of contention here being who goes where in these two spots as well as the 10. Either it's Jake O'Brien at RB and Garner in DM, KDH at 10 (this is, IMO, 90% likely), or Moyes puts weight on the whole "Let's put KDH in the 8 role"-train and puts Garner at RB, O'Brien on the bench (or CB if Keane is not up for it) and gives Alcaraz continued faith in the 10 role.

Either way i would never hold it against Moyes if he persists with KDH at 10. It just makes sense, especially if we'll be looking to spring counters, he'll be lying deeper or roaming freely as a result.

I'm more tired than ever of your nonsense, and I don't even like Moyes, but I have to reply to say your new "we should have been top 10 all season" (15 games in) is one of your weakest attempts to switch up that I have ever seen

Just converse normally ffs

He's not done it since he's registered here, why would he start now?

Bored of saying this.

Strongest league in Europe doesn’t mean it’s a strong league - just means the PL is average and the European leagues are worse.

They're not his players. And guess what, you dont always get value for money....see Liverpool FC for the most obvious example...or Koeman's Everton for that matter.

It's not a 'switch up' if I've been consistently demanding it for months.
