I've heaped praise on my Moyes the last two matches, I really hope he doesn't revert to putting gana back in the midfield on Saturday and actually rewards his players that have delivered the last couple of games. Don't disrupt a good thing

That will be the real indicator of whether he has learnt from past mistakes in my opinion. If he sticks, he has definitely learnt, if he twists and reverts back to his preferred line up the it’s the same old emperor wearing a new set of clothes. If a player comes in or is moved into a new position and smashes it, then he has to be left there for the next game or what is the motivation for them trying their best? KDH has said he will play anywhere for example, but he and everyone who has watched him, know his current position is best for him and best for the team. Hopefully the team that started against forest will be the team thats starts against chelsea, and again against arsenal if they play well in the chelsea game. Keeping a winning side together is essential at the moment, the motivation and team spirit is there for all to see, he must not tamper with it!

I think it's one of the strongest/most competitive leagues in memory. Reminds me a bit of the Championship in the way that anyone can beat anyone in the middle

I think there's less great teams and a lot of 'above average' teams

Competitive close results can mean anything. There's more teams that are great, poor, or somewhere in the middle. I think there's a lot more teams who are somewhere in the middle than normal, personally. A lot of the teams you'd expect to be in their own pack at the front; Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Spurs, are all very beatable. Equally I think there's a lot of teams who you'd expect to be from 11th-17th who are very hard to beat; Palace, Brighton, Sunderland, Us.

Doesn't make the league dog muck.

So yes you have to take your hat off to Dave, who still manages to reel them in somehow.

To be fair to him, he has switched the team in the last 2 games and won them both.

It will (or should) ultimately depend on what he thinks of the threat from Chelseas left side is or if we can target that side offensively. If we can target that area, Garner should be at RB as against Bournemouth, if they are a threat there, then OBrien should start there for his defensive ability.

Having Gana and Tim back, gives us some real options to approach this on the front foot and in the best way possible.

Sorry Dave, can’t agree with that and you’ve hijacked the point I was trying to make for your own ends I’m afraid.
The only issue I had was his comments about having to play KDH deeper, not wanting to play him there through choice. He got the team selection wrong a few times, the players let him down against the horse punchers. I thought his comments about Europe were actually positive but realistic, and something an Everton manager should be saying.
It’s a poor league, I agree, but we’ve got a thin squad that will get pressured by injuries and suspensions which may hamper our push, but at least he’s talking us up for a change, with some honest caveats - hope he continues to do so.

I also think your a little sore that he made a total show of Dyche and his one dimensional tactics at the weekend.

Should have been trying to get others like Aznou and Dibling involved more and not loaned out Harrison then?

My moneys on idrissa going straight back in, because of some sense that hes more defensive and that will make us harder to beat away from home

I actually disagree, on basis KDH allows us to keep the ball in the middle and move it up the pitch better, critical away from home, but thats my guess

And im not even being critical of DM, its just who he is. Sometimes youve got to take the rough with the smooth and this calendar year since hes come back has been really good.

So what? Why does it matter where we were in October? You said your expectation for the season was top 10, so you must be delighted we’re currently on track to challenge for a European spot. Instead it would appear you are absolutely fuming and trying to change the goalposts, to the surprise of nobody.

If the league is so bad then your buddy the Kopite Tory scab should have no trouble getting top half with his £400m squad, would you agree? No excuses about extra games too, because Palace have the same number of extra games and a far smaller squad and are currently 4th.

Don’t really want to see Gana come back in. He’s not going to be here for AFCON and isn’t the future regardless. We need to be building combinations with players who will be here. I’d stick with Garner KDH Alcaraz as the three with Iroegbunam to come on and secure the lead in the second half.

A great chance to get a win at Stamford Bridge here, they’re playing badly and will be off the back of a CL midweek.
