2025/26 David Moyes

He's clueless.

Ok 6th...in a terrible league....and we should have been top 10 all season.

Then he talks post match about European football next season basically as a long shot.

What player gets any inspiration from this divvy?

By the way, if we get a lower league team or bottom half of the PL team in the draw tomorrow, dont bet against him playing a weakened team just to show who's in charge after getting a panning for doing that in the LC.

It's all about Moyes. Never forget that. He's doing 'little' ol' Everton a favour.

An utter 'kin weapon of a man.

You do realise what he says to the media isn’t necessarily what he is saying to the players right?

Considering lots of our players talk about the impact he has on them and how they love playing for him, he seems to do a pretty good job at inspiring them.

Won 4 of the last 5 with 4 clean sheets. But yeah, he is clueless 🤷‍♂️

Progress has been made but a close eye must be kept on the trajectory over the next year or so. Moyse is proven to be happy knowing his position in the food chain and the club happy with just premier league status.

We are in a different time now. The previous leadership may have had that attitude but I think The Friedkin’s have a different ambition for the Club than simply being “happy” with PL status.

The current trajectory is strong [and Moyes is doing an excellent job] but if it falls below their expectations over the next 12 months, they’ll clear out and start again.

Absolutely furious that Everton won a game of football 3-0. Try and get some sleep tonight please Dave, you’re going to make yourself ill.

When we played Fulham at home we lined up in a 433 and KDH was excellent as a left sided 8. We also set up like that from the start away at United.

We don't need to play with a number 10, in fact we are probably at our best when we don't.

KDH's best form historically has been in that exact role.
Agreed, I think the issue is we don't have width from the full back area so Jack and Illy have to stay out wide so Moyes feels we need that support from the midfield. Getting a couple of attacking fullbacks would allow the wingers to come in more and enable us to play a proper midfield 3.

Sorry Dave, can’t agree with that and you’ve hijacked the point I was trying to make for your own ends I’m afraid.

The only issue I had was his comments about having to play KDH deeper, not wanting to play him there through choice. He got the team selection wrong a few times, the players let him down against the horse punchers.

I thought his comments about Europe were actually positive but realistic, and something an Everton manager should be saying.

It’s a poor league, I agree, but we’ve got a thin squad that will get pressured by injuries and suspensions which may hamper our push, but at least he’s talking us up for a change, with some honest caveats - hope he continues to do so.

I also think your a little sore that he made a total show of Dyche and his one dimensional tactics at the weekend.

His comments the other day can be taken several ways. One is that it's his usual tactic of belittling the club and bigging himself up. The second is that it's an attempt to keep any perceived pressure off the players. The 3rd is that it's designed to put some pressure on the ownership to improve the squad in January. Only Moyes knows which one

This is a guy who openly admits to having an account on an RS forum and we just believe that it's because he wants to wind *them* up?
