Load of tripe. The resources are simply too disparate to compete in an even playing field. The club needs to aim to build over time. It’s the only possible path to success.

Funding the club properly is a load of tripe? Attracting a quality manager is a load of tripe?

Well we attracted one of the Greatest managers in history, Carlo, but that didn't move the needle on the relevancy meter.

Relevant to what? Isn’t the club relevant now? It’s in the biggest league in the world!

In terms of challenging for honours I'm afraid that @Drico is correct. We are irrelevant and have been for 30 years.

We can only hope and pray that with time , prudent investment and good management on and off the field we can get back to the top table again.

Of course we aren't irrelevant to our fans but you can say the same about say Plymouth Argyle or Morecambe.

A one-off splurge is not funding. Funding is consistent and leads to improvement every window. We need to fund our manager consistently - not use the club as a personal fiefdom for theatrical self-aggrandisement or for money laundering purposes.

Exactly! Because the owners could afford to do so. Our new owners are in a position to do so. Kenwright and Moshiri were not.
