Tbf if Moyesy has a trademark strong finish to the season and sneaks us into Europe somehow, I reckon he’s nailed on for one more season.

A world-class manager who, with competent owners and serious backing, could make us relevant.

However, I think that ship has sailed and I think it's time the club had the courage of its convictions and started afresh outside the shallow confines of the Evertonian genepool.

Carlo is getting on now, anyway, and likely too old to either care about rebuilding us or too old to see it through. He had his stint - though was unquestionably correct to leave our sinking ship and win a few more Champions Leagues. Had we been able to back him properly during his tenure here, we might be a top six fixture now - but Moshiri, Kenwright, Putin, and all that...
