He certainly had the opportunity to against Sunderland and he squandered it badly. Was alcarez supposed to perform and affect the game with 5 minutes to go like the game with spurs?!

I'm putting things in a simplistic way, c'mon, you've just said "I don’t believe Dibbling, Aznou and Barry were Moyes signings." That's as simplistic a statement as you can get! If you'd have said Dibbling, Aznou and Barry weren't his first choices, then you'd have maybe had a point saying I was being simplistic in my statements. Although given the long pursuit of Dibbling I'm not sure he wasn't his first choice and I think we can reasonably say he was high up the list.Your looking at it in a simplistic way so it’s hard to engage. If you think Moyes said “go get me Dibbling” or “go get me Rohl” then I can’t get onboard with that. Does he get final say on what players come in well that might be so. But I bet his picks were different players and these ones were the clubs. But both of us don’t truly know. That’s the truth.
You’re being deliberately obtuse. Hammond’s role isn’t to identify players to recruit, its to handle the actual transfer negotiations, contracts, and deal-making. Smith and Cox role is clearly to identify players to sign, Moyes makes the final decision on which ones to sign.So the guy whose job title is head of recruitment, has no say in recruitment. Excellent stuff.
From what I was told TFG held a meeting with Moyes after Sunderland game asking him what was going on and why he isn’t playing players he chose to sign in the summer. They’re not impressed with what’s going on so far this season. One thing I did like is he downplayed Dibling's fee because, yes, it wasn't much these days. I just hope the Friedkin's attitude behind the scenes made him comfortable enough to feel ok acknowledging this fact.

Ancelotti could be free again after the WC?It’s easy to see why.
However, I cannot see what changing manager mid season again is going to do to help unless our league position massively drops off.
I think we need to get to the end of the season and re-evaluate based on the entire season. If we still aren’t happy, then look at who is available and who will come.
Iraola, Glasner seem to be the prestige options but they would be hard to convince to come.
Beyond that I am not sure who we should go for but we need to find someone who gets the project (whatever it is) and is prepared to put trust in the players bought as part of that project (Barry, Dibling, Aznou) instead of casting them aside and shattering their confidence like Moyes has so far.
There's no debate on whether Carlo is a legendary manager, he clearly is, the issue is if he's suited for a club trying to reestablish themselves as just a competitive club that can get into the top 8. Which I feel an upcoming manager in the mold of a iraola or even marco rose from RB Leipzig would be a better fit for a project.Ancelotti could be free again after the WC?
Why would Glasner come here, seriously? His career trajectory suggests he will be looking for better opportunities. It’s easy to see why.

Yeah, it’s not like Moyes has ever played with a false nine like Tim Cahill, Fellaini, or even converted wide players like Arnautovic or Antonio.Anyone think Moyes will change the habits of a lifetime tomorrow and put a false 9 upfront?
I'd love N'Diaye to get a go at it.
I agree. Glasner would be my target. Ironically the system Moyes has put in place for transfers would suit Glasner down to the ground. It’s easy to see why.

We’d more than double his salary and he could have big say in recruitment due to our set up.Why would Glasner come here, seriously? His career trajectory suggests he will be looking for better opportunities.
I don’t think he’d be attracted by that. He’s used to being a head coach. We’d more than double his salary and he could have big say in recruitment due to our set up.
Stats have no impact on this summary.Per minute, Alcaraz lags the average Premier League attacking midfielder in goals, assists, key passes, progressive carries and pass completion. He is way behind in tackles, interceptions and duels won.
These are simply the facts and no doubt are the reasons he finds himself stuck on the bench.
Actually, Glasner has always been very hands on with recruitment, even if his title is “head coach.” At Frankfurt, he helped bring in key players like Kolo Muani and Lindström to fit his system. At Palace we had the Guehi incident. At LASK & Wolfsburg , he worked closely with directors to identify undervalued players for his high-intensity, structured style. He builds systems that demand the right players, so influencing transfers would be a big attraction to him I think.I don’t think he’d be attracted by that. He’s used to being a head coach.
