2025/26 David Moyes

Per minute, Alcaraz lags the average Premier League attacking midfielder in goals, assists, key passes, progressive carries and pass completion. He is way behind in tackles, interceptions and duels won.

These are simply the facts and no doubt are the reasons he finds himself stuck on the bench.
It's a catch 22, these stats won't improve if he keeps coming on as a sub. Takes time to find your rhythm in some games. And what attacking combo does he fit? Is he better feeder to Beto or Barry? And who's the best feeder to him from midfield? If you've actually watched him play he's got bags of potential. It's not all stats.

No he's not and he didn't sign them off.
The squad was woefully short of experience and we throw £70m at 3 prospects.

Couple more loans could have been a game changer if we want to go down the prospect route.
Every journalist including paddy Boyland has said this
and kinnear on toffee tv. Said Moyes is hard to buy for. You believe what you want, but Most of us know the truth

"It's not Moyes' fault, it's Alcaraz's"

You are a parody account.
It’s on Alcaraz to perform. If you can blame Beto for not putting away chances you can blame Alcaraz for not carrying out his responsibilities. It’s not just at Everton that he has struggled for minutes and there are reasons for that.

True to an extent, but the fact he underperforms per minute is concerning as it shows that he does not produce when he is on the pitch either defensively or offensively. He needs to up his game, basically, and it shouldn’t be that hard for him to do the basics.

The feller cant help himself:

"No one thought when I came in here last season that Beto could get goals".

...imagine being Beto and hearing that....then he says it's up to him and the staff to make him feel more confident!!

On Dibing: 'Barkley and Stones had to wait to get into the team'...yeah, when he left the club.
I didnt hear Barkley, I heard stones and baines and lescott

Davek basically twists whatever he says to pursue his crusade.

Does tracksuit Moyes have the same impact as tracksuit Dyche?
I’m hoping so, just an inkling that he can do something different with the squad he has this season would be most welcome, especially after so many poor performances for long periods in games. Moyes is an actual football manager, Dyche is a glorified defensive coach so Moyes is night and day to the dross we’ve had to put up with for the last 5 years or so.
Last season he proved he had the tactical nous to get results and performances out of the players but this season he’s chucked those tactics in the bin along with the points they were bringing.

Come on David, maybe ask Morag to pop a bit of sugar on your porridge instead of salt for a change!

Last season I was content with what he achieved, I feel similar it's like he doesn't know what to do with better players and it creates a trap where he won't make any major tweaks and becomes predictable. Also as you correctly wrote his tactics are different this season, very sluggish and less direct with more scatter shot crosses instead of trying to play in the strikers. He might get lucky at Fulham but unless he's open to a new strategy I think he's going to continue to struggle.

Playing him in the correct position in the correct line up might help.

He has his moments , they're just too few and far between ..and just like some of our other players he struggles with the basics

Stats can be very misleading. They will show McNeil to be a very effective player.
It will show Alcaraz did nothing much to turn that game around v Palace, but I literally watched him do it.

Most of his stats are from playing wide too, which we know isn’t his game.

Was alcarez supposed to perform and affect the game with 5 minutes to go like the game with spurs?!
