2025/26 David Moyes

he’s not getting sacked maybe if this carry’s on obvs a scrutiny but there’s other things that isn’t moyes control
I'm not coming after Moyes, I want him to do his job and build a foundation for us to move on from.

I've always liked him, and would hate it to come to that, but at the moment their is something not right going on.

I cant close my eyes to what I'm seeing in front of me.

Bringing on McNeil last night, a player who we have already seen is carrying a serious attitude problem, before looking at players biting at a chance to show their case, was a joke.

Thats not good for the squad morale.

Something just isn't looking right at the moment.

Saying the Summer, isnt me asking him to be sacked. It's asking him to show us that he is adaptable, and he has plenty of time still to do that.

true mate good reply! ;)

i think we are all rightly very frustrated after last night but calls for him to be sacked are nonsense

let’s just carry on being a barmpot club giving managers millions to spend and sacking them after 10 games

you all sound like babies, this is what deliveroo and justeat has done to society, eroding the last scrap of patience we all had

he needs to try something new, he needs to get better out the players

he also has two strikers that can’t trap a ball, beat a man or hit the target

he’s taken a club on the brink and given it hope again

got brilliant form out of ndiaye and brought a player of Grealish’s class to the club

lets not all wet the bed
I read this and more or less agree - then I watch the game and think wtf is he doing, why can't he see?
(All with a side dish of look at the millions sat on the bench)

What a load of crap. The fundamentals of football remain the same. The same stupid argument that new signings should all hit the ground running is undercut by the terrible run Liverpool have been on.

Fact is, players have to take responsibility for their own levels of performance. You can blame the manager all you want, but it is just scapegoating.

One of the problems in modern football is people want to blame the coaches for all ills when the problems are often much deeper rooted. People talk about Brentford recruiting, but they have a very advanced setup on that front, just like Brighton. We have fallen badly behind.
You can still blame managers for negative subs like the one he made last night, McNeil for Ndiaye. That was Moyes protecting the point rather than trying to get all three. You’d think we were down to 10 men.

We have better attacking options than last season so why not try and utilise them, I would rather risk losing by trying to win at this stage of the season.

Moyes needs to be braver with the young players he’s invested in.

Lol. I've got a strong opinion of him. So what's the expectation then? If we didn't expect Europe, then what exactly were we expecting? Mid-table mediocrity?

Newsflash: Moyes supporter didn't expect Europe, so is therefore a bit sick of him because they admit they didn't expect Europe! LOL, you can go in the bin too.

Expectation of who? I can speak for what everybody’s expectation was for this season but I know by reading this thread that I can’t remember any posts saying Europe is expected. If there are any it must be a fairly rare opinion. My expectation was say 12th to 8th probably

The newsflash bit you’d have to explain to me as I don’t know what you mean. My comment was that this idea of lots of supporters expecting Europe and being unrealistic about Moyes performance was something a fair few posters were putting out there up until a couple weeks ago even, but it’s much less common now.

Cheers Davey for the save last season, but he doesn’t give me hope of anything to be honest. It’s a very dull and safe moment in our recent tumultuous history, and preferable to the previous horror shows, but hope as in hope of better things? Nah

If I didn’t have patience I wouldn’t still be supporting this mess of a club. I’ve loads of patience to give the club, but not so much for this manager I grew tired of many years ago

Moyes has history of poor starts, then He goes on a run, gets people thinking - Thursday Cup here we come, then tapers off.
So I agree 10 games is too early.

more likely is the only changes the starting 11 will get will be forced changes for AFCON

I do. I don’t get why he did that and moaned about it at the time. It’s not negative per se, but it was playing a guy who I just don’t think is up to it. A bad lapse of judgement.

I wonder if he felt Dibling might be intimidated by the atmosphere?
