2025/26 David Moyes

The searching press conference questions I'd expect from the 5th estate this week:

"David, taking a point away from home against an in-form Sunderland is a positive, isn't it..."

"David, is it the case that more than one transfer window will be required here at Everton to make the team competitive again..."

"David, Fulham look to have found their feet again, dont they. Just how difficult will this game be on Saturday..."
"David, how pleased were you to take a point at Sunderland given how well they've done this season?"

"David, how impressed have you been by Marco Silva since he left Everton in trying circumstances?"

"David, given Fulham's marvelous record at Goodison under Silva, is it important to manage fan expectations ahead of this game and the visit to big-spending Manchester United who really seem to be flying under Ruben Amorim?"

Give it five weeks and it'll be:

"David, how impressed have you been by Sean Dyche since he's come in at Forest and moved them level with Everton in the relegation battle?"

So it's Moyes fault that Barry missed that sitter?
So the deflected equaliser is Moyes fault?

The above are not simplistic views, they are fact, something which appears to have escaped you totally...

Jeez, think about what you are posting...

Yesterdays game was as bizare as ive seen. Moyes today should be getting all the plaudits after we put a game to bed within 35 minutes. Thats what today should be. The Barry miss isnt down to him.
However what was very alarming is how a team can do that for 35 minutes and then in the same game completely deflate and collapse. Ive very rarely seen two contrasts in one match.
We just switched off like a light. So weird.

He doesn’t help himself Moyes. There’s obvious holes in this squad that the ownership need to own. But Moues sticks to his favourites despite how crap they are playing. Tarks, Gueye and KDH prime examples. Against Fulham it will be same line up with Beto instead of Barry. And we’ll huff and puff, go behind and maybe salvage something late on. But that’s it.

Moyes still has significant credit built up from last season, so very unlikely to come under pressure unless we end up in a relegation position...but...I wouldn't put it paste them (angus and co) to replace moyes with this guy. If the worst happens, and we end up battling relegation once more, they better replace not only the manager, but the people above them. I would be terrified if they (angus and co) would ever be in a position of choosing a new manager after the dreadful window we just had.

Moyes was head of recruitment mate
