2025/26 David Moyes

It doesn't have to focus on Doucoure, it could be Fellaini or McTominay for instance. We need a bit of presence, some blood sweat and tears. We're playing balls to a player that isn't there. This isn't ghost football, we can't use the 'force'. There's a gap in the side, and it continues to expose us.
We don't have that type have we
So if the manager can't compensate for that . Then he is not the man for the job is he . How do other teams manage .

Do we think he will be sacked this month?
December. The Dyche Derby is the tightrope match. Beat Fulham and he'll be fine. Fail to beat Fulham and it's a Stanley knife special at Old Trafford at the end of the month. Eddie Howe pays us a visit then, and we go into December being potentially schooled by Iraola. Enter Garry Birtles and the Nottingham curry house set...

I think he's tried to graft KDH into some sort of hybrid version, we've looked lop sided because of it. Neiler just mentioned Soucek, kind of forgot about that especially in light of the patterson swap that eventually didn't happen. Couldn't turn the entire squad around in one window. Couldn't compensate for £60m walking out of the side either.
Our pigeons came home to roost.

Unfortunately he kept trying to do that near our box yesterday and whilst he is our main threat, he gave it away several times in our own half when he tried to take multiple players on. Put JOB under huge pressure.

The whole team just seemed a bit out of sorts.
Look at his frustrated face, a man that feels like he's carrying a team with no pay off in his work, lack of confidence in players around him and a full back that can't offer what he needs.

The lad is playing with frustration.

The players on our bench recently signed have to get a chance by starting them & changing the system around - we know in the past how stubborn DM can be .....

I think we had a plan for recruitment mate, Fofana, Delap, Soucek, Paulinho, Bakayoko, Kubo - it’s well publicised those players turned us down and when they did we had a choice, bring in lesser quality PL players or buy young players with a high ceiling that needed work - that’s what I think we did.

So in my opinion we are struck and impacted in the short team ny loosing limited but influential players in the likes of DCL, Doucoure etc. While Waiting for the players we have bought, Barry, Rohl, Dibling and Aznou to come good.

While we are in a bit of a twilight zone in the in between right now trying to piece together results by wallpapering over the cracks in the team with the likes Grealish and KDH as right now additions.

That’s the current state of play as I see it and for the reasons why in analysis.

That's the one, you've cracked it, it's genius in it's simplicity, Moyes needs to be perfect.

How has no one fallen over this nugget of wisdom by now?

:pint2:
Not perfect, have more of a winning mentality than a not losing one. He has done well since he came back but that was last season. When the team runs out of steam he seems to want to shut up shop rather than change things for a win. He did it against Palace and has avoided repeating the process. It leaves me and numerous other supporters at a loss as to why.

Again. He is paid a lot of money to make things better . He knows who he has since the window closed. Theres more then one way to play football. If he can't do that then get someone who can.

we got lucky vs palace.
I'm not sure mentality puts 3mm on Beto's studs or volleys that chance in for Barry last night. When we play well and don't get our rewards we become very cagey. There's a stumbling block I agree but where what or how is to be decided.

It's very easy making demands. Believe it or not, there's a similar set behind the other side and the other manager doing some demanding of their own. All these demands haven't panned out so great with a succession of managers, maybe the task isn't so black and white after all?

TBF it was & is hard to attract quality players if your team is not in Europe - but if you spend 100 million - at least give them a chance ......
