2025/26 David Moyes

He’s destroying players. Confidence is everything in football yet he has players like Alcaraz, Dibling, Beto and Barry who must be bricking themselves whenever they get on the pitch because they’re scared to make a mistake…. Sometimes as a manager you gotta make a decision on a player and stick with it … trust that player for a run of 9 or 10 games with no pressure on them… Moyes isn’t doing that at all, players are playing scared and it’s glaringly obvious to see.
Spot on mate,
To quick to jump on them in public.
Then expects them to not feel under pressure when they come on.
It's like having someone looking over your shoulder just waiting to pounce the minute you do anything wrong.
You are bound to get nervous and not perform .
Has his favourites it plain to see.
To be honest its easy to bring somebody down it takes good manager to build them up.
Barry /Dibling must be wondering why they came here two quite lads by all accounts getting no help from the one person they should be getting it from.

We have man united coming up after Fulham and I'm trying to search online his record away , it seems like Moyes has never won away at United in the premier league if anyone conflicting evidence please inform me

The McNeil sub is the biggest red flag I’ve seen all season and could very well be the identifiable moment this all went wrong.

For Tyler Dibling not to be brought on there suggests something is massively broken. It’s either one of the worst bits of transfer business in the club’s history, one of the most egregious mismanagements of a young player in the club’s history or a bit of both.

There is no justification for McNeil to be on ahead of Dibling in that situation and it’s going to destroy that kid, if it hasn’t already.

The ongoing treatment of Thierno Barry is nearly as bad, but at least he’s getting a chance. Both cases are just textbook examples of how not to bring on young players. Don’t even start on Aznou.

It was going to take something massive for me to question Moyes this season given where we’ve come from and what this campaign needed to be, and yet he’s found it. This season had to be all about development and gradual improvement, and he’s tanking that by playing the same aging players, many out of position, all in the name of… what? The “experienced” blokes aren’t even playing well. It’s all just a big nothing at the moment.

Once the rot sets in, uh oh. It really could have been quite simple for Moyes. He decided to double down on his lineup shenanigans and it will be a matter of time before heads go down. When it is too late to matter, we will go on a run and he will get accolades for essentially getting us nowhere.

We can't keep waiting for managers to "figure it out" every single year. Eventually it bites you in the arse and you end up with the revolving door of crap managers we had in the past. I am off the train officially at this point. Next year we won't have Ndiaye, Grealish and maybe even Branners. We at the very least need an upgrade in the managerial department.

Gobsmacked some are still defending the manager, just amazed.

Seriously, he thought Dwight was the effective, best choice substitution to replace illy……with the options he had on the bench……

I mean, Dwight McNeil….. McNeil. After that league cup horror show he served up…..

It’s just Indefensible.

I sincerely hope that Armstrong is allowed to remain at Preston and to see out his season long loan. I really don't want Moyes anywhere near him otherwise he will end up being thrown under the bus like Barry and Dibling. TFG and Kinnear need to be earnestly looking into his replacement so that we have a more effective Manager/Head Coach in situ to take us forward and into the 26/27 season. Like a leopard that doesn't change it's spots Dithering Dave seems incapable of altering his laissez-faire attitude when it comes to players and team set ups.
