2025/26 David Moyes

He’s toast.

Tbf Moyes must be under pressure too. He knows the yanks will be ruthless.

He didn’t have any pressure last season and it showed.

The more Moyes gets pressured the worse his decisions become and the worse the players play and the worse the results become.
So bizzare, its like someone hitting self-destruct on themselves. There is only 1 big injury, you have few players off the bench you can rotate the line up with, and no realistic pressure to make europe.

Ten games in and we are sat in 14th place. Based on the squad at his disposal I would say he is underperforming.

I was underwhelmed when he came back, but he quickly won me over and I’ve been right behind him. The Wolves cup game was my first gripe with him, since then things have been steadily going down hill.

He did a good job of stabilising the club following Dyche throwing in the towel, and is fine to oversee the first season at BMD and the start of the squad overhaul, but I don’t think he should be in charge next season. I don’t see him winning anything with Everton, and the club need to appoint someone who is capable of doing just that.

The Friedkins will (rightly) be asking why we signed so many players in the summer who aren’t good enough to get in a team that has been bumbling you d the relegation places for the last 4 years. We aren’t Manchester City or Chelsea who have the luxury of buying half a dozen players and giving them a year on loan or on the bench. We need players to be signed to play in the first 11 every week. In particular, 2 new full backs and a striker to have a shot on target every few games.

Whinge, whinge whinge whinge. A load of fat middle aged men, thinking they could do a better job from their armchairs. Newsflash boys: we've been [Poor language removed] for years, and are barely making a profit from player trading.
Moyes was not appointed to give more of the same. There is little evidence of improvement or tactical variation this season. despite money being spent.
