2025/26 David Moyes

I've said it before and it showed again on Monday night. My concerns are:

His plan seems to be "get it to Grealish" and that's it. No plan B. No change of tactics or formation.
His subs are predictable and like for like. We had the chance to either go 2 up top or get Grealish/Ndiaye behind the striker and instead, he just changed like for like.
Strikers, it'll be interesting to see if he sticks with Beto. He can't keep rotating them each game and hoping they'll suddenly perk up. He needs to decide on his first choice.
I'm concerned that his comments have gone from bubbly and enthusiastic to dour and negative. Dont insult me saying West Ham are a tough team. Any decent team after the 1st goal, would've rolled them over. Any decent team at 1-1 would've pushed for a winner.

This isn't me saying Moyes Out, far from it. But things need to change.

The divvy got a cob in his last press conference when he scolded a woman reporter for daring to point out the elephant in the drawing room that we have two strikers who aren't scoring.

You can bet your bottom dollar that the dinosaur will continue with the same failed project of rotating two poor finishers.

I did not want Moyes since about half through his first stint, I certainly did not want him back this time. His transfer intake this season is so poor, more than 50m spent purely on potential in Barry and Dibbling is a disgrace, neither are yet good enough for the premiere league and who knows if they ever will be, if all that is down to Moyes (which I believe it is} then its my reason for not wanting him. Before I get any stick it is only my opinion which I believe after watching them for more than 70 years I believe I am entitled to.

Personally I wasn’t happy with the return of David Moyes, I did think we needed a wise old head to steady the ship but my preference would have been a young manager coupled with an elder statesman to get a mix of enthusiasm tempered with old school knowledge. I know this may well have been problematic in terms of who had the last say but I don’t think that issue would have been insurmountable. All that is now of no importance as our new owners plumped for the return of David Moyes. Those who feel that David Moyes shouldn’t be at the club have a legitimate right to hold such an opinion, their views carry as much weight as mine. However I would say that look where we were prior to his return, look at some of the managers we had employed in the recent past. We are moving forward, maybe we are not going at the pace some would like. We are now missing a goal scoring centre forward, we are missing a fullback but generally we are covered elsewhere, we won’t make significant progress until we plug those gaps, however there are fewer gaps than there was and we are arguing about how far up the table we should be not if we are going to get relegated. I never thought we could fix our woes in one or two windows, I did believe we needed a safe pair of hands to guide us through those windows to get a squad that could climb into the top half of the table. David Moyes is a safe pair of hands, nothing spectacular, nothing too adventurous but a safe pair of hands. I don’t want to see him in charge in 2 or 3 years time as I hope we have progressed sufficiently to show some ambition.
