I really appreciate what Moyes did last year after being disappointed with the long contract he was offered. Opposition are going to double up on the wings. Need something more creative in the middle, to stretch back lines. We are pretty easy to defend against otherwise and just relying on the mistakes and odd exceptional moment.

Moyes wasn't the manager many blues, myself included, wanted, but, he was probably the manager we needed. He's steadied the ship now so it's more or less job done for him. If he keeps us top half this season keep him till the summer, by which time the club should have identified the man they think can move us up to the next level.

People go on about him winning a trophy at West Ham, fair enough but it’s the easiest European trophy to win. Genuine question how did he do as West Ham manager in tbe domestic cups ? As I don’t remember them in the latter stages that often.
He’s old hat now and we need something different. We’ve never employed a foreign manager who’s never managed in this country before
