2025/26 David Moyes

I'm not even overly bothered by the result tonight. A game we should obviously look to win but looking at our squad it's clear we're going to be hovering around mid table all season and matches like this are typical of any side in our position.

It just makes Moyes' decision to not go after the cup last week even more frustrating. No idea what he was saving the players for.
Absolutely spot on. This season should of been all about going for the cups as we're a much as a muchness with a lot of teams in the middle pack

I know McNeil is getting flak right now (and honestly it has been deserved) but I think back to his splitting pass to Ndiaye that resulted in a goal last season. And no, I am not saying he is the answer. I just think it is the difference between creativity and lack of. KDH would not try that in a million years- he would not see that pass. We do not have that vision in the squad right now. For all of Dwight's faults he brought something we lack right now.

We either need to find it elsewhere or we need to get the wings blazing. The play stops too much. When we actually bothered to deliver the ball on the wings we were actually a threat. Keane scored off a cross. KDH easily could have scored off a cross. Beto had a chance. It doesn't even need to be aerially. We just need to get some cutting edge going.

Man, that squad will be decent with a bit of time and patience. It's a rebuild alright and there's some decent signs from midfield, but the defence needs ripping apart and our strikers make me miss Jo and Marcus Bent.

Question is, should Moyes be the one yo do it?

I see what you mean about Mcneil but the amount of attacks that would break down because of him are just too many for anything other than someone playing towards the bottom of the league. Plus that performance against Wolves will have done him no favours at all.
