The problem is Moyes has his methods and they'll not change regardless of the clubs ambitions. He'll be here for the season and depending on the feel around the club he'll either be moved on or finish his contract out next season. I'd be amazed if he gets offered a new deal as the Friedkins don't seem to keep managers in situ for long. European qualification is definitely doable this season so that should be the barometer for how well Moyes does this season

Two things.

Firstly, I suspect Mr Moyes realises that things have altered somewhat, during his first spell he broke double figures in millions spent on a single player twice, Fellaini at £16m and Yakubu at £11.25m. In an eleven year stay that was the financial ceiling imposed.
This summer alone six months into the job he's spent £12.5m on Alcaraz, £27m Barry, Dibling £36m, Dewsbury-Hall £27m. So double the high profile big money signings he was graced with previous.

McNeil will never be a wide forward so Moyes hung him out to dry as he did Coleman at left back. You could say the same about Tim as he needs Idrissa alongside him
 
The three seasons prior to Moyes Everton finished 15th / 17th & 16th and won nothing…

In the 2022–23 season, Moyes led the club to victory in the 2023 UEFA Europa Conference League final against Fiorentina to finish undefeated in the tournamentplay, winning 12 games and drawing one. West Ham finished the Premier League season in 14th place

One of those 'awkward' changes i'd be fine with, to see whether they can adapt/develop/fill-in, but so many at the same time whilst also giving Barry and Dibbers much needed game time was suicidal, and to then throw them under the bus is inexcusable.

Wow, the Wolves debacle is already fading into history, but it has given the Moyes haters on GOT all they were waiting for to come out and vent their spleen on a manager who they dislike for his so called arrogance, never wanted him in the first place, a man they can't stand to hear talk, and criticize his decision making as though he is an utterly clueless manager. An unlikely defeat by West Ham could even raise the level of hysteria on GOT to (gulp), suggestions regarding his future career? Hopefully that discussion will be postponed for a while, until the next "unacceptable" defeat.

I don't have a problem with him as a manager, he's a decent manager bordering on good. However his personality is a different matter. He denigrates the players and clubs he manages in order to big himself up. Everton is bigger than David Moyes and he should remember that
