It's why we will have to move on from him in the summer or the season after. There is a ceiling - and he installs it himself.

Yeah I don’t dispute the facts, I just wouldn’t be using their absence to justify pessimism about beating a team we beat without them.

I thought KDH and Grealish being out would murder our chances of getting a sniff of goal, but fair play to McNeil and Garner for two amazing passes (and Garner and Baz for the finishes). The kind of moments we need to be clinical in more often.

Nice to look ahead and think of what might happen when we start to get players back, now!

But tonight he found solutions. And that's all you can ask.

Definitely the right guy to get us back on an even keel. That’s self-evident in hindsight, even if many were trepidatious when he was appointed (I certainly wasn’t totally convinced it was the right move).

I think he’s earned the benefit of the doubt r.e. increased resources. I’m happy to sit and watch where we go over the rest of the season and the summer window.

Not when you’re talking about why you think we’ll struggle in upcoming games vs earlier in the season. Branthwaite didn’t play when we played well, so no reason to think his continued absence will hurt our form.

To be fair I need to keep reminding myself we got a point out of that horror show. 4 from those two games isn’t a bad outcome.

Only two teams have scored less goals than Everton this season, but only three teams have conceded less. I'm not a huge fan of Moyes, but he deserves great credit with the tools at his disposal.

We were always going to be able to handle Forest and compete. Moyes knew it too. But he's managing expectations again. It's what he does: his MO.

We can be doing so much better than this with a better manager who can really get us stuck into this woeful
