2025/26 David Moyes

Ndiaye Grealish & Dewsbury-Hall are certainly good enough

The front 4 that started today definitely aren't good enough.

It's not that complicated to be honest. Our best 11 is good enough to get top half. That side that started today is nowhere near good enough. Effectively that same side lost a cup tie to a hopeless Wolves side as well this season.

Honestly I expected a nil nil as soon as I saw the line up. They have no goal threat and no creativity when missing those players.

Thing is though even with the players in your first sentence, in the league- only Wolves have scored less.

Our team today isn't the best, but it still should have done better against a championship outfit in Burnley. They're the worst team in the Prem, IMO.

That 11 is better than the majority of 11s we gave Dyche. That’s the point I’m making. Fans were hammering Dyche for not playing front foot attacking football with a front four or Harrison Doucoure Lindstrom Beto with Chermiti on the bench.

I’m not hammering Moyes. I think he’s doing an ok job, and I thought he did an exceptional job first time round.

I’m calling out the hypocrites who slammed Dyche going on like they were the standard bearers for NSNO but now are rolling out all the same excuses that they refused to accept under Dyche.
Yeah. The hypocrisy is real. I was very critical of Dyche. I am very critical of Moyes. Both have not impressed with their decisions and it's hilarious the excuses that are popping out now. There is a silly amount of bias.

And they’ve only been moderately better when that wasn’t the case. This was not our worst performance of the season.
Yet still a point away from home.

Today highlighted lack of depth, a hangover from lack/poor recruitment under Moshiri…will need 3-4 more good windows to get a squad in place

We had 24 points from 15 games before all of our best players departed the team at the same time. What exactly were you expecting from this season, short of winning every single game, like a toddler?
The level of play isn’t good enough! I genuinely don’t care what the points count is. I can look at this team and the totality of its performances and know Europe is not realistic.

And that would be totally fine if we were a younger team learning to play a style that would in time pay off. But it’s the opposite! We’re one of the oldest teams that regular leaves out the younger guys or shifts them out of position and we’re playing the same way Moyes did 20 years ago.

What I expected was a fresh start and progress toward a team that we could maybe expect to win every time out. That isn’t happening even a little bit. It sucks man.

I should have added that we also don't have a Premier league calibre centre forward and that's a huge problem as well

We need to spend big on forwards and not unproven project players. We need goal scorers and until we get them we are stuck in mid table.

We could and should have done better today but that sort of inept attacking performance is no surprise given the players who started and their lack of quality and pace.
