2025/26 David Moyes


….i never for once blamed Moyes for leaving Everton, a bit like the Rooney situation it was totally understandable. I have it in mind that Moyes mk2 will see out his current contract as Manager hopefully after doing exactly what he was brought in to do.

The reality is, players and Managers will leave Everton if they are attracted by an offer from another club, just as players and Managers might leave their club to join

I don’t blame him either, however I do object to the manner in which it took place and his subsequent behaviour.
Having spend years whining about a lack of funds he elected to leave effectively on a bosman, to the richest club in the world. From his own narrative even a couple of million compo would have been beneficial but no.
Then, he throws in the ‘derisory’ joint bid for our our crown jewels and his subsequent justification of he wouldn’t stand in the way of a players best interests (let’s ignore his hissy for over Lescott) and the belittling of Martinez as not understanding how Everton works.
The bloke is a self serving snake.
I can deal with that and his current relative success, but I wont forget it and he’s got to do a lot better than bottling cup semis or finals and finishing the best of the rest for me.
Others id have more patience for but this toad showed his true colours before.
Sickens me to read the grief given to the likes of Mykolenko compared to the adoration afforded to Moyes

Where does the stretford, rooney libel, and resulting compo and where it ended up register on your map?

not really sure tbh.
Obvs would have preferred him to stay, but still undecided on the truth of his departure.
Did his immediate sale save the club? If so then it’s the best thing could have happened.
Were there club machinations to get him sold and sell it as saving the club? 🤷‍♂️.
Rooney posted it as a forced exit but then lost in court and the compo went to a good place curtesy of Moyes, so who know the true comings and goings.
Regardless we had the opportunity to compete in the CL following his sale so NEA ultimately.
Opportunity squandered / bottled either way.

Bit harsh re the ref that was defrosted for it and the resulting juve relegation he had played a part in. But, we all see history as we do...

Moyes didn't rule out a goal that "the video never saw". Nor did he restart the game whilst the side were celebrating and let the opposition counter in numbers to stick the knife in.

Oh karma, take him down as nasty as you can please.

There’s a rumour Moyes paid off Collina to help get him out of Everton for free - but I don’t believe that no siree

I offered to take his removal for the mens euros I think in 2024? I was overlooked. What was he done for? The exhibition he put on with a shetland pony over the womens euro's over the summer was gold dust. We need more of that entertainment.
