2025/26 David Moyes

He has convinced himself that he did well this season because that is what the CEO and all of the media suck holes have told him. Everton the relegation club get stability blah blah blah. The fact there has been no talk about a contract extension for him should be a massive hint but he has been too busy with world cup punditry to notice.
I would like him to be replaced by a better manager. But i every interview I have seen so far since the season ended, whenever the season is mentioned he has always stated that the last month or so was nowhere near good enough. The good news is, if that form continues, then he is in the last year of a contract, so it will cost the club relatively little to get shut of him and move on. I think all the pressure is on him right now, as it should be

Online pressure from supporter forums or from TFG?

He says the players weren't good enough. There's lots of "they" weren't good enough or "Ehhhhver-on weren't good enough."

But think of where we were before "we" came...

The problem with that though is if it does continue then next season is damaged as well. He really should be replaced now before the window even opens tbh. Would have plenty of time for his punditry then.

I just think that unless a) we have a stellar summer window (we won't imo) or b) we get next season off to an absolute flyer then things could get quite toxic quite quickly. We are going into a season where a ever growing number of supporters have an issue with the manager.

None of it was.
Statistically we were riding our luck massively and had several very lucky results against the run of play.
Our position glossed over the performances, but by the end of the season, as they say - the table doesn’t lie.

Unless there's an air of ruthlessness from TFG similar to the RS this summer then we're stuck with Moyes and the pressure is off.

We'll have an average start some good vibes and we'll all be sucked in once again. Until the wheels come off but I don't expect Moyes will have us in a relegation battle. Mid table at least. Bit like this season. A lot like this season.

Help. 😧

The fixture list is going to make interesting reading. His job likely depends on it not having any top ten teams in the first six games

We lost on a decent chunk of prize money by finishing lower as well. I am never a fan of lame duck managers as they will lack the motivation to perform as well as possible and will often get themselves fired to run away with a payday and get a new contract somewhere else. I don't see this season ending well for him. If the Friedkin's do not see him as the future manager they should have cut ties and called it a day. I don't think there is a chance he is here next season.
