This Orwell quote springs to mind when thinking of Moyes being left in his position at the club by the owners:

“If you want a picture of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face—forever.” ― George Orwell, 1984​

Wasn't that a quote from his final interview rather than the book? I might be wrong

Either way it's one hell of a way to view an employee who has fulfilled his job expectation being kept on by his employers
