2025/26 David Moyes

I want to go back to the days when we had journalists complaining we were cheating the loan system because we were making waves rather than them patting us on the head calling for cotnecat extensions for a manager they know won’t win anything with us.

You’ll know we have the right manager when the media suddenly stop being all pally with us again and all the kopite pundits hate him.

umm no thanks. i think this could have the opposite effect. lets announce it as his final home game and let us thank him for giving us a fairly respectable base to build upon with a young positive manager next season

I can live with him seeing out his final year but don't give him an extension or let him lead on summer transfers.

Even if we all wanted him to get an extension, what's the rush?

There's no queue of clubs ready to pay Moyes what we're paying. He could probably get a gig at a newly promoted side if they're struggling to stay in the league.

The number of PL clubs ready to hire Moyes is small/non existent imo.

Moyes has done well for us since his return and steadied a very rocking and leaking ship. But he isn't the man to take us to the next level as he is very blinkered and chops the team around from game to game or sticks instead of twists when the game needs incentivising until it's too late. Just feels like he is returning to his previous mindset of 'knives to a gunfight' instead of really trying to push us on. It's like he believes that what was good enough for Blue Bill is still good enough for TFG and this will be his downfall. How long they give him remains to be seen but I sincerely hope they don't reward him with a new 2-3 year extension.

Ok So what do we do in the summer regarding players?

If the club are going to just keep him for one more year then flush him down the bog, then get him 2 loan signings for the FB area and say this is what youve got.

We cant be splashing money about for a manger who wont be here in 12 months time.

If we sign players he doesnt agree with he simply wont play them, its a mess, and there is only one answer to it all.

Think he may end up back at Preston if/when we part company with him.

With so many clubs looking for a new manager at the end of the season, I’m sure Moyes will have absolutely loads of offers from clubs who will let him stroll in and rip up the whole setup just so he can get his mates a job and have as much control as possible over transfers that he won’t bother playing… and they’ll be thankful and told they are lucky to have him.

Him in a nutshell.
The way he talks the club down is disgusting. I don’t even care if there’s some truth to it, it’s the same old cack he was spouting years ago and largely the reason so many think we’re fortunate to have him. They’ve been brought up in the midst of his plucky little old Everton routine.
