2025/26 David Moyes

Coz theyve hit a glass ceiling financially and they are based in Birmingham?
Frank has a lot to prove at Spurs. And the football his teams played tends to make one’s eyes bleed. Iraola has a lot of promise, but, to me, he has done anything exceptional yet.

Villa are traditionally a really big side, so I think Emery is pretty well suited there.

At the same time, the job Moyes did at West Ham was just as good as Emery and Villa. Winning their first cup since the 80s was a big feather in his cap.

Of course, Moyes could come a cropper, but I don’t think anyone could have done a better job to date, and the squad rebuild is already showing signs of promise.

Frank’s best Premier League finish is 9th and Iraola’s is 12th. Why would they be better appointments? Emery of course has done well, but why would he leave Villa?
Frank (at Brentford) and Iraola haven’t had the resources afforded Moyes this tenure.
CBA checking but I’d be very surprised if neither Frank or Iraola’s records against the ‘top 6 teams’ is better than Moyes regardless of their best finishes.
Emery most likely wouldn’t come unless his head could be turned by money or felt ‘the project’ was better (doubtful).

All hypothetical anyway 🤷🏻‍♂️

That’s pretty subjective tbf, Emery got them to the champions league and has achieved Villa’s highest ever EPL points and goals scored figures.

Arteta clearly learnt more at the school of Moyes than the school Pep. Tried playing for a draw and got beat to a side there for the taking again. Hope we don’t sh1t ourselves when we turn up at Mordor in a few weeks and actually take the game to them for a change.

This feels very good, even though the Kopites are top.

Come on now, the football Frank plays is definitely not ‘eye bleeding’, especially compared to Moyes (who I like btw)

There are good managers about - Howe, Frank, Iraola, Emery.. would be more than happy for any to end up at Everton.
