FWIW here is my take on this.
In an 'ideal' world Moyes would not be my first choice, but ...
We had fallen overboard during bad weather and we have been thrashing about in a stormy sea for quite some time. We are at the point of utter exhaustion and were about to surrender to our fate and go under for the third time.
We have just been thrown a life belt.
Some people are wailing and screaming that it's not enough and that life boats should have been launched.
Meanwhile I'm trying to conserve energy and clinging tightly onto the life belt with both hands.

Was thinking the same.

Potentially turning him into Marcus Bent Mk2.

Non stop running and harrying of the opposition defence, which in turn forces them to play deeper and we can play higher up the pitch.

We`d need a pacy right winger for this to work too.

I'm amazed he's lumped in as like a long ball merchant. Into his tenure he had teams that had Arteta, Peinaar, Osman and Cahill all in the same team, essentially fitting 4 small number 10's into the same team. That was also with 2 attacking fullbacks (before they were really a thing) and often we have Heitinga at Centre back who is more akin to a sweeper. Like I don't mean this nastily about the fella at all, but like Coleman wasn't some unique outstanding pro of that time either. The 4 I've mentioned, Baines, Jagielka, Carsley, Weir etc you'd probably have mentioned above him. What's interesting though, is even at like 36 his attitude is miles better than most of the squad. I think that says a lot about the sort of teams Moyes put together.

I digress slightly, it took him time to make the transition. It may be with more funds compared to what he had previously, this can be achieved more quickly.

I think he will also set up a proper operation at the club too. He didn't just leave a good team, he left a great set up, coaches, academy, sports science department etc. You would probably say at the end as a manager he almost didn't make the most of it. Given what TFG have done at Roma, I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we has like an upstairs move at some point, and focusses on the remit above. And rather than amateurs, or agents building the club back, you have someone who sort of knows what they are doing.

….was Moyes here to transition the move from Bellefield to FF? I ask because I have it in mind he insisted that the training pitches were exactly the same size and the same surface as Goodison.

Doucoure has been terrible under dyche.
1 game at brighton. 1 goal against bournemouth.
Other than that he's been terrible. Probably a factor why dyche is no longer in a job. His insistent selection of a player who struggles to do even the basics.
 

Everton only got Stones becuase of Moyes record on bringing on defenders, lad was set for Wigan until Moyes and Kenwright approached him. Looking forward to Patterson and Mylenko now a proper manager who wants to coach players can achieve.

He was.
Had his famous whiteboard with a secret code of magnetic markers against players over looking the training pitches.
Also recall when he saw out his contract and left for free (after years of bemoaning a lack of funds at the club) Martinez wanted to install sleeping quarters there for some reason that never occurred.
 
If you can't get behind the team and the manager then please don't set foot in Goodison. We need a united front now if we're to have any hope of staying up. I don't care what you think of Moyes. He's here, so back him. I know that message is wasted on some of you (specifically Dave) since its obvious that many of you rarely go outside, never mind attend the match.......

Indeed but reserve the right to call it out if ever it starts looking bad...

Hasn't had as much pace this season going forward but playing him further back will extend his career at top level
