That Europe conference league is a bit of a joke tho .... it was made up for weaker nations teams to have a bit of a run in Europe... Premier league teams shouldn't be in it , and if they are should easily be winning it every season

At least with Moysie back i'm hoping we now will not suffer the appalling quality of signing we have seen in the last 8 years.
Look at his record, he has an eye for a gem, whether young or old.
Also he lifted European silverware very recently so his tactics are certainly not that out of date as some suggest.
I always dread revisiting the past but Moyes is far from the worst move we could have made. Can't wait to see his plans evolve. Good luck and COYB.

As I've said.

Eternally grateful for what Moyes did. Kenwright was ready to appoint Megson, and got lucky.

For Moyes to get us ticking, was absolutely outstanding. But it felt like he'd admitted defeat.

I think a lot of people seem to forget just how fed up the fans were by the end, we played Bolton a Tuesday night in Jan, and it was subtle 30,000 attendance.

He peaked with the side which lost to Fiorentina, and my personal last straw was bottling a Semi to the worst Liverpool side in 2 decades.

Ignoring his behaviour following his departure. He's spent alot of money at West Ham (regardless of net spend).

I just am struggling to see where everyone's excitement is coming from

And despite my huge negativity on the situation, I do hope he proves me wrong. I just fear the worst.
I’m not sure people are particularly excited by Moyes, it’s a needs must and overall I don’t think anyone should be better than neutral on the appointment….

….but given the squad we have right now and our position in the league if we had appointed a young, progressive, possession based manager all I would be feeling is abject fear.

I think Moyes can keep us tight and improve us in transition. That’s about it really.

He's got 2 night games at Home under the lights - couldn't get a better start

Cue full Bear Pit mode X 2, a bit of bounce of the ball, maybe even 6 pts and he's an Instant Hero - always rated him etc etc.

No pressure then Davey...in your own time
Haha these were my first thoughts too.

Really though, big credit to the board on the timing of this. Dyche was ready to leave and now Moyes has time to bed in and get rolling.

This is very different to the awful timing of the previous gang, both Lampard and Dyche hires were really badly timed
