They don't care about the club as such. They care about making money from it. That's the modern game for you.

I totally get that. But what I don't get is why they do show up for Roma, which doesn't have anywhere close to the earnings potential of Everton.

I’m not suggesting they don’t care. It would’ve been a great experience for them though, and an opportunity to introduce themselves to evertonians on a day when everyone was going to be in good spirits

Honestly I would be more than happy to never see them.

Just put the money in and leave it to the football people.

…I thought his post-match comment was a bit barbed.

Suggested to me he was saying ‘you need to realise how big this club is’. I know posters are indifferent to these owners attending but it’s important they have some ties to the place, to understand it.

That's my take on this.

We know they aren't shy with money but a little unsure they know the magnitude this club could and should be.

Just a glimpsing thought I had because it did seem like a little dig bit wondering if Moyes is leaving in the summer. Probably not but it just seemed such an unusual comment to make that a lot of people have picked up on
