2024/25 David Moyes

The pundits were saying Moyes is a sideways step from Dyche. Did they miss all his European finishes and the European conference cup he won? I wouldn't say its an exciting appointment but he is much better than scotch egg head it is not close! One gets ten men behind the ball and launches it to an isolated forward the other tries to be compact and counter and has effective ways of at least trying to score. They aren't "the same".

Also it's needs must, there was a very real risk in appointing the progressive manager we want right now with the squad we have and being one point above the bottom three...
Tbf I agree with everything especially the progressive manager…. How the hell can you be progressive with the current bunch of no marks??!!

Moyes is here now and there’s nothing we can do about.

I’m disappointed because it doesn’t give me the hope I was expecting from the new owners.

Everyone saying it’s 2.5 years to lay foundations for the club, then what? Wait another 2 years for us to get the right man that’s 5 more years of investing time money and emotions.

I know Newcastle and Villa had a better starting position than us but the correct managerial appointment got them in the CL within 18 months. I feel with Moyes we’re just going to exist like we have been for decades.

Quite frankly it’s boring the crsp out of me now, his football style hardly gets you off your seat neither.
We were interested in the Brentford Manager they got knocked out of the cup today by P.ymouth at-home -crap happens but the easy run at the beginning of the season by Dyche bad results 2-0 up twice thrown away killed us as a team imo -
DM must know the problems we have & will have to address' them quickly in this transfer window....

People keep bringing up a progressive manager- that isn't the point. You want a winning manager that can actually elevate the team and get us closer to competing. Moise has proven he is average. He is okay. He has had his highs and lows but the odds are you won't progress as a club with him at the helm. You don't have to be progressive- just decent in understanding the game. Not all great managers are that easy on the eye or super progressive.

People keep complaining about our players. Sure we have some areas that need improvement. That is also ignoring that we have decent talent at the club already and some of those players were either injured or not getting a look under Dyche. If Branthwaite stays and we get some decent talent in during the summer (or we sell Branners and reinvest it wisely) this is a whole new ballgame. We can turn it over quickly like other clubs have done. It is possible in this league.

We are stuck with Moyes for two years. Either he figures it out immediately or we stay the same and don't really progress as a club which is more likely. I assume the latter is more likely and he is just here to bring the infamous "stability." It's over. He's here. I'm over it. Good luck Moisey.
