2024/25 David Moyes

I'll say this: that new stadium is going to make life hard for any manager who just has us surviving or even at mid-table.

The expectations are going to go through the roof, and if we aren't playing in Europe manager's can expect a tough time.

That facility is going to shake things up at this club.

Imagine David Moyes secretly replaced the BMD corner flags with enchanted, miniature haggis. Every time Everton took a corner, the opposing players would be momentarily hypnotized by the savory aroma, just long enough for Duncan Ferguson (in his spectral prime) to rise like a salmon against the tide and head the ball in.

THAT'S WHAT HE'LL BRING DAVE AND I'LL HEAR NO MORE OF YOUR NEGATIVITY!

….expectations need to be managed for next season with the re-build that has to be done. It could be really difficult.

No one expects us to turn into Real Madrid overnight, the majority ( not you with your various anti Moyes agendas ) expect stability and gradual improvement, with signs of progression.

You`ve gone too early, too soon, with your " the fans will be expecting Europe next season or the manager will be in trouble ".

Your`re losing your touch.

Must try harder.

C-.
I expect Europe next season, but we need to attack the transfer window.

Yeah, but you can’t have the manager doing that. He needs to be talking up our manned space flight to Mars and how we’ll win the Intergalactic Champion’s League next season. You’ve obviously bought into Moyes’s small club mentality.

with PSR it's importangt to win as high as possible for more prize money

we also want to go into next season with momentum and on a high

i also want us to keep our nest players, so finishing ahead of the likes of united and spurs helps in that regarf
That might be what the fans want but a lot of the squad won't be here next season and I'm sure the new stadium will ensure that those who are still here will be on a high regardless.

Michael panic-mode Keane is supposed to be an experienced professional football player, he folded under pressure for the first goal and flapped about like a headless chicken and watched the ball go past him for the second. If Moyes plays him again after that, then I will blame Moyes. Keane is not a premier League player by any stretch of the imagination.

Don't forget, Moyes in his first go around usually had a slow start but could rely on Uncle Bill to cover for him.

Nevermind the fans expectations, what will TFG demand and how patient are they? Lot of Roma managers would argue they're not.

I dont rate this league.

Look at the teams vying for European spots.

If people are seeing the PL as some sort of incredibly competitive league that you just have to cling to a lower place in then they're not reading the room.

It's all change now. Maybe it's down to PSR - I dont know. But the baked in echelons are no more. Villa and Forest are there to underline that, as is Spurs fall from grace. And even the regular top sixers like Chelsea and City who are still there are running up 50 odd points at this late stage.

With a bit of spending and a very good manager we can make giant strides.

You say they are poor. They are sitting in a Champions league spot right now. They are inconsistent for a club thats spent a lot but are we at stage right now saying we should win at Chelsea? I dont think we are mate tbh. We're competing a lot more but we're still very much a workman like side with little quality up front.
Plus tarkowski will be a big miss for the rest of the games.
I am not saying we should win more that we set up to try to win

Spurs "fall from grace" is nothing to do with the league but more to do with a crap manager.

Sound.

But if Dyche was still here we would be 18th and there is nothing you can say to convince me otherwise, so save your fingers.

We'd be 17th but still 10 points above 18th because the bar was so low. 18th have 21 points fgs. The bottom 3 have near enough lost every game since Moyes took over

I think it’s an incredibly competitive league.

Heaven forbid certain sides pick up one or more european trophies, will you change your tune?
