….no idea why anybody is even posting about a new manager at this point in time, I can’t see it even being considered.

Moyes doing a fantastic job, he looks super content ahead of the big re-build that faces him.

Yeah, no doubt hes exceeded their expectations from when they appointed him. Im betting they are very pleased with themselves for making that call and havent given it a second thought after 2-3 weeks in.

Meanwhile they can now start to put our feelers to the rest of the managers that they will be looking for a long term successor in the near future, so when the time comes they have better options.

This - the fans were already behind them, that was clear last night, I feel they would keep us up and let TFG get a proper manager in as soon as the season ends.

We’ve paid the price for short termism for so long, and Moyes is the definition of short term.

And more to the point, how TFG should make their decision - and not by what fans think because, we're all kneejerk. All the last few months;

TFG have form for changing their mind and firing the bullet quickly.

That's why I've been saying for a while that he needs a strong finish to the season. TFG had a number one choice and the original plan was to ride it out with Dyche and then get there man in the summer.

Than man whoever it was it still going to be there this summer.

As much as I was against this appointment in the first place, after three and a half consecutive seasons flirting with relegation I have to accept the short term stability Moyes remaining two seasons will bring us.

It's not going to be the most exciting times or a Moshiri-style "Revolution", but it will go a long way to restoring us to where we were before it all went to pot.

I can't see him being sacked unless they've got a chance to do something amazing like get Ancelotti back and even then you'd say that's harsh on Moyes.

We will sort the squad and finances out and prepare us to kick on after Moyes. I can't see him being sacked for poor performance so it is what it is for the next two seasons.

I understand the conversation if we at crisis or we were still struggling, which is when I made some of those points, but I don’t get it now tbh.

I’m the first to admit I got it stone cold wrong in my opinion on bringing Moyes back, I thought he was finished.

If he’d have came in and we barely improved but still stayed up, then I get we need to look at other options, but not now.

I thought he might be a caretaker type appointment, and be sent on his way season end, with not much change from his predecessor.

However; he seems reinvigorated since returning, and is acting like a totally different manager to the one who was at wham, which has been reflected in the results we’ve achieved, the job he’s done and the life he’s brought back into the team.

He should be trusted and backed with the job of making and taking Everton back to where we belong, and I didn’t think I’d be saying that when he was taken back on!

I'm assuming every single reporter asked every other PL manager up and down the country today what they thought of VVD signing a new deal as its obviously a very important question and vitally important to know what every opposition manager thinks of this news.

I was unsure of his appointment to be fair at first but I get the impression he has unfinished business here. His demeanor seems calmer and he looks as self assured as I’ve ever seen him. I think the mantra of negative football around him is a bit wide of the mark. We played some decent stuff in his 1st stint here and I think he’s got a solid base to progress this team. If we had a bit more quality in the final third I believe we could have had 2 or 3 more wins than we have had in his short stint here so he’s setting the team up pretty well. My only gripe is I would like to see Alcaraz starting and Chermiti getting more minutes, I don’t think his most vehement critics could fault the work he’s done so far.
