2024/25 David Moyes

Problem is, I actually think he’s probably the right choice.

I’ll get behind him 100%. Just trying to express the downsides of this appointment. Not even trying to denigrate us as fans either, we’ll all get behind him. It’s just one of those subconscious reactions to him that we can’t help because he doesn’t elicit any excitement or promise.
I'll support the team, and yes, if the first choice wasn't available and we needed a manager now, then a very reluctant yes in the short term from me. However, what happens to their first choice now? Do we get him in June, or is Moyes now seeing out most of his contract? That's my biggest concern, aside from hoping someone else empties the dishwasher before I go to the pub, like.

I've never been more made up in football than I am with Moyes coming back. I grew up watching Moyes and pound for pound he for me is one of the best managers around.

He has his flaws yes, but maybe just maybe he's ironed out some of those things with experience and we could just go onto something special in 4 or 5 years time when Moyes has forged a real team.

He will be gone in 2.

It's what we do.

This perfectly sums up my feelings. I used to keep up with football loads, know who plays for what teams, keep up with foreign leagues, watch most games from the prem. Now I don’t care at all unless it’s us playing. And it’s because supporting us has just sucked the joy out of football.
There was a time I could probably name more Norwegian teenagers than @Nymzee .

The Sam Allardyce hiring killed that in me.

Then Benitez, then Dyche, and now we have come full circle and have reassembled Thanos' Crap Dinosaur Manager power gauntlet.

I just want us snapped out of existence now.

Yeah, the 2.5 years is very concerning. Cements the “no hope or aspiration, death by a thousand cuts” feeling with the fans. If it was just 6 months, brilliant, I don’t think anyone would be able to argue that. I agree with you
