He's done well there, their fans expected the worst at the start of the season when a young hopeful was sold to West Brom.
In one way he's the ideal manager for the West Ham board, as given time he can continually get respectful league finishes on a smaller budget.
But that same board are prone to making odd decisions (they completely lack class in my opinion). They'll sack him when he doesn't fit their perceived image of the club and replace him with someone who likes to 'play out from the back'. Then when he bombs they'll look for another Moyes.
But Moyes has redeemed his reputation in the game with what he's done there.
