David Moyes - Taking a knife to a gunfight at West Ham, Part 2

He did a " Koeman " at Sunderland though didn`t he ?

Bought in a load of overpaid wasters, who`d never even heard of Sunderland until they saw the cheque book open.

I know they were very badly run, but Moyes really did them no favours at all.

Moyes isn`t remembered fondly by the Sunderland fans,
Sunderland were in a death spiral for years. He walked in right when Short pulled the plug on the finances. They did spend a bit, but he did not chose their big signings as he came in too late, and rather than buying M'Vila for a larger upfront fee, they went for French midfielder they could pay for over years of installments.

He failed with the squad, but you just need to watch the documentary to see how tits up things were at that club. Don't forget, they would sack a manager every season for years amidst relegation troubles.

Fairplay to Moyes. He's doing well at WHU. A club who're benefitting the most with having no fans in the stadium. They had no atmosphere anyway.
Those "Hammer" geezers giving it large, until they fail to score a goal in the first 10 minutes. Then they plant a flag in the centre circle and throw stuff at the directors and Trevor Brooking!

I’ve seen both series mate.

Even though the club was in a mess, he bought a load of washed up Everton old boys.

I’m assuming the logic being, that he bought players in that he thought would do a job for him.

They were free signings. He had no budget, with the cash already being ringfenced for Big Sam's N'Dong and Papy picks.
