Pretty clear we'll take up the option and sign him. Sensible bit of business and now we've had chance to have a good look at him for a season up close first

Was chatting to @Moomin last night and he mentioned who the source of that story was, fairly reliable by all accounts, gutted to see the lad go, even worse it being to the likes of Stoke. Sad times.
