Can someone point me to a post explaining what folks seem to be worked up over this deal? Trying to get a better picture of what happened here.

The fee we will have paid to his agent to do the deal, then loan fee then a permanent fee and then another fee to his agent will end up being more than it would have cost us to get him from Anderlecht anyway.

Unless there is a set fee, which there may or may not be i don't see the point.

Exactly. Anderlecht wanted the 'TV monies' and Olympiakos got him for half the price..

Clearly Everton have encouraged the Olympiakos move for him, so obviously the deal will be in our favour, with a small return for Olympiakos.

Strange bit of penny pinching but I guess we need to do that.

I think we're trying to be 'smart' but we never usually are.

So in the end i get the feeling it will be pointless and a waste of time and money.
