I strongly petitioned to have him back and I have to say I'm pleased with his return.

If you don't like what he has to say then disagree with him respectfully, you'll find that @davek will graciously discuss Everton regardless of whether you agree with him or not and generally won't resort to the type of petty name-calling you see thrown at him for simply holding an opposing view.

Some of you lads don't half love a moan. He's as much right to share an opinion here as anyone else and YOU don't have to agree with it but you do have to be respectful to other posters.

davek will straight up take all of you on, but he will use a genuine argument to do it about 98.764% of the time. Sometimes when you get him, he'll even admit you have a point, but don't ever expect a hint of a backdown.

Better than 98.764% of the rest of [redacted] around this place. We used to have lovely talks about the joys of capitalism and the free market back in the day. We both learned a lot, I think.

Besides, he's a scourge to Kopites, and that works for me. Somebody has to do it.

Very occasionally, when I've jousted with Dave, he's ended up saying something quite ludicrous. At that point I just walk away from the keyboard, because I know he knows I'm right.

I would never expect him to admit that though, and I'd be disappointed in him if he ever formally admitted I was right and he was wrong. In fact, if that ever happens, I will insist on an IP check on his posts to ensure it really was him.
