I never knew untill browsing throught the Wigan matchday programme that Dave Watson was the youth team coach at the Latics. It's a pitty Everton can't find a coaching role for him. Good luck Davie lad!

What a great servant he was for Everton and the captain when we last won the cup. He was even the manager for a brief stint after Joe Royal left. His final match as manager was a 2-1 defeat to Chelsea on the final game of the 1996/97 season. Even though I attended the game the only thing I can remember is a streaker cartwheeling on the pitch and kissing dennis wise...

I guess in all honesty if any Dave is coming in this summer to coach it will be Weir...
