My late father favourite player - when he signed for LFC even more gutted especially when he went to watch him there as fans used to watch both teams at home in those days he banged a hat trick for the enemies my dad told his cousin before they went they had go a great footballer -A True legend the Cannon Ball kid RIP - I only just missed your ground tour as you had fell ill I was gutted so sad RIP DAVE HICKSON

Similar to what someone else posted. I never saw him play but my late Dad rated him as one of the bravest and the best he ever saw and that's good enough for me.
