Take her out for a nice meal, pay for it all even if she offers (it’s worth it), stay on after for a few drinks if she wants but not too many and definitely call it a night before midnight. Offer to walk her back/get her a cab. Message her when she’s home saying hope she got home safe, that you had a great time & if she wants you’d love to do it again sometime.
On the date just be yourself, maybe tell a few embarrassing stories to break the ice, be polite and courteous to the staff/people around you as girls pick up on things like that.

I say this because any decent dog that arrives at the trust will usually be snapped up very quickly by someone who is registered, as they get first dibs.
