proud and in awe of her . shes my hero lol

but justice ..... because he admitted jumping the light and that he drove for a living , and 'losing his job , was punishment enough' ..... they gave him 3 points (he already had points so , this meant he lost it) and a 9 month ban.

I was so angry , wasn't justice imo . but I just had to turn that anger and hate into determination to look after my daughter.

You deserve the utmost credit for helping and supporting your daughter through what must have been an unbelievably traumatic time.
The dignity you have shown in the face of such an injustice to her is remarkable.

Think we'll have to wait for the full details before we condemn him. It's entirely possible to be over the limit but not be drunk.

:)

Why put pictures of RS fans in Bulgaria up here?

But, he never stopped so he knew he was in the wrong and fled.

Yes, good point. Not stopping was out of order.

You're right, but the paper claims after he hit the cyclist he drove to a petrol station and crashed into a pump. That doesn't sound like an instance of one-too-many to me

He might have been wasted mate, or he might have just had it in his system from the night before. We just don't know yet.

the only scenario I wouldn't feel too bad about.... maybe....

Gibson hops out of his house , pulling on his trousers as he stumbles over his crutches and jumps into his car
he pulls out his drive , just missing the neighbours cat that luckily jumps out the way
swerving in and out of traffic he pulls on his shirt
unknowingly jumps a few red lights , as he searches for change in the glove compartment , forcing cars to screech to a halt and lolipop ladies to jump for cover.
he handbreaks round a corner gently sideswiping a biker off the road
he mounts a curb , drives across a grass verge into the forecourt of the Tesco express petrol station
slams into a petrol pump , falls out the car and runs into the shop
there is yarmolenko in his new everton top slowly and gratifyingly taking a bite out of the stores last ginsters pastie
he smiles and winks in the style of joe royal in 1995 fa cup final at the gutted and forlorn Gibson , whos holding his hands against his rumbling tummy as police cars slowly pull up behind him

cheers stan ... tbh in those situations you have no choice , you just have to buck up and and put your best foot forward.
worst week of my life by far .
my auntie died on the saturday -heart attack
my step dad died on the monday - cancer .... my mum was distraught so I had to step in and look after her and run their business
then on the tuesday I got a call saying my daughter was being rushed to hospital and may not make it.

2 days later was also the busiest time of the year for the family business , Halloween. (which normally myself , my daughter , step dad and mum would all work , so I had no choice but to do it on my own ) the money taken on that day is so important ,if I didn't open the business would have closed down. was at the hospital all night , straight into work for the hardest days work ive ever done , then straight back to the hospital.

you know that picture of atlas , where he his holding the earth on his shoulders ? that was me that week and for the next 12 months.
nothing though , compared to what my daughter was going through. I think we both inspired each other to keep going and get through it.

Your daughter, and you, are amazing. I hope she achieves all her dreams and aspirations. What a remarkable young lady.

The Everton midfielder Darron Gibson crashed his car into a cyclist before driving off and hitting a petrol pump while over the drink-driving limit, it has been alleged.

The 27-year-old midfielder was reportedly driving a black Nissan Skyline GT-R Nismo luxury sports car when it is claimed he collided with the bike near his home in Altrincham, Cheshire, on Sunday night.

Police were called and charged the footballer with driving without due care and attention, driving with excess alcohol and failing to stop after a road traffic collision.

A spokesman for Greater Manchester Police said: “He has been bailed to appear at Trafford Magistrates’ Court on Tuesday 1 September.

“This is in relation to an incident on Sunday 16 August where police were called to reports that a car had collided with a cyclist on Park Road, Trafford, and failed to stop before pulling into a petrol station on nearby Dunham Road and colliding with a pump.”

Gibson, a Republic of Ireland international, began his career at Manchester United before joining Everton for around £1m in 2012. He is currently out due to a groin injury. An Everton spokesman declined to comment.
