If you need someone to step in with a shift when one of your regulars breaks a metatarsel then he is your man. I would offer him a one year contract to stay. There is deader wood than he on the books.
BTW same applies to Pienaar and Osman but all 3 are soon or already not first 11 players.

Theres no more deader player in the prem than our Gibbo. If someone would take him id be willing to pay them 50ks

All of them are first team players if fit, especially pienaar, just trying to keep them fit has been a ball ache the past season or so

Thanks LL.i can understand why a lot of people want him off the books but for me he's a complete midfielder. Maybe with a pre season behind him and a bit of luck he can provide the passing ability that we lacked so much last season

Best centre mid in the team. That's the gamble though, if he stayed fit for a whole season then he'd be first choice undoubtedly. If he breaks down he's just taking up wages. I'd keep him. Law of averages means he's due a full season soon.

Cracking player when fit, such wasted talent! maybe just need to find a totally different training programe 4 him! i mean the bloke looks forward 4 gods sake, everything we need in a cm!!

He only has a year left on his current contract. I imagine if he struggles in the coming season we'll let him go in Jan or the summer. A fit Gibson can seriously compete for a starting place, though, so I'd personally only let him go if we were made a good offer.
