isn't it good to have Gibson back, we will need him as Barry looks like his on his last legs
as for Besic no one knows can't judge a player just from 3 games at the world cup.
Gibson and McCarthy i'd say will play most this season.

I don't think Barry is on his last legs mate, he was immense against Arsenal. I think what will be important is rotating and mixing the midfield up depending opposition. Barry will play a huge amount of games this season but it's great to have Gibson fit again and Besic waiting in the wings. The kind if competition we haven't had for as long as I can remember.

Love it when Gibbo plays, we have some good stats with him in the side don't we? (*Touches wood*)

Hope he stays injury free :)

The lad is a good player for us and we are a better team with him in the side so much so that we can't afford to put him on the pitch as the risk of injury is to great . It's a dilema isn't it?
we pay him to play football, so if he's recovered we should play him as he's the one who offers different options

Its boss. I hope to see him do a Naismith and come back and blow all these gash shouts out the water.

He's ace and I can't wait to see him back

He will have loads of great games for us and I would love to vault all the carts on here who were demanding we "sell the sicknote" and "get him off the wage bill"

I know what this is a substitute for - please don't use it, it's not nice.

Steady performace last night against average team. He always looking to get on the ball and only gave it away on couple of occasions. Main thing was he didnt shy away from the tackling side of things which is huge boost showing hes not afraid of getting injured again. 70 mins in the tank is just what he needed. Id expect him to get some game time on Sunday for Ireland off the bench (hopefully when Ireland are winning and we need to keep the ball!!). He should start against Swansea in league cup and be on the bench for league and European games. Huge advantage if we can keep him fit as he will be needed this season.
