I don't understand this at all. His career injury record is appalling, he's let everyone down off the field and when he has been fit he's been useless.

There's better players in the youth team.

Another two years of him rinsing his profession, this is an appalling decision. This summer was the perfect opportunity to get rid of the dross at the club. He should have been sacked for his misdemeanours never mind rewarded with a two year deal.
