Fellaini, Yakubu...etc, etc...

Now Gibson.

This. We signed Fellaini for 15 million and he was pretty gash in his first season as well. I'll admit he hasn't been great so far but give the lad a chance ffs. How many posters on here actually play football? Are u telling me if your not playing regulary for your club and suddenly your thrust into it your going to be at your best? It doesn't work like that. Fitness and confidence is gonna be important and to me it looks like Gibson it's completely match fit atm.

Next season is when we will see the real Darron Gibson.

EDIT: Just to add, at United he was never going to be first choice. If he can understand he has a big opportunity here to make a name for himself and show what he can really do without the pressure of playing for United I reckon he could excel.

He has to get fit, but he has to get on wavelength with the others in the midfield with him.

Transition.

Some of our support cant breath unless they are slating one of the squad.

Fully agree. It takes time for a new squad member to gel. You can't just throw it all together and expect it to work straight away...I'll wait to next season and then make my judgement. But for 500k it would be hard to have a cry if it doesn't work out. Especially after we forked out 9 million (I think) for Billy.

Thought he had played mediocre to good until Saturday. Saturday was just hopeless. I'm not sure how that's a knee jerk reaction.

He isn't fit, and really shouldn't be playing this much at the moment. No one else to play I guess.

He is so unfit and slow. He's like Charlie Adam. By half time he's panting like a shagging dog, then an hour in he disappears completely.

I agree with you but Why? he has had about 6 weeks of training and playing competative football and he is only 24 (i think).

To be fair to the lad anybody who has ever played football will tell you that there is a difference between being fit and being match fit, anybody can run for miles in training or do sprints and ballwork but in a match you need the sharpness and the concentration that can only come in that enviroment of being in a match, given time to settle and get used to the system at Everton he will be sturn out to be a good signing,, never going to be the best but he will do a good job.

Have seen certain qualities in his passing and movement to have a feeling the lad will come good once he gets used to us and fully match fit, he would of cost £5 million in the summer and probably £8million the summer before. The £500k thing is to do with him being out of contract in the summer, us having a good relationship with Man. U and Ferguson bringing the experienced Scholes back in. We have got ourselves a bargain here, of that i'm confident.

And probably something to do with him being drugged off his face on Boxing day with Rooney and Evans.
