Moyes has proven time and time again he can get quality players for small fees. Maybe Gibson is another, but sadly he's not the kind of player we're desperate for.

But we didn't buy him.

You are presuming Gibson will be the only player that joins us in the window. If that turns out to be the case, then the question can be asked about priorities. But I don't believe he will be.

People seem to think he's got an amazing long shot, and although he's obviously scored some beauties he seems to use the 'if you throw enough sh*t at the wall it'll stick' method.

Even though I was fuming last night and have been for years over our lack of long shots when in good positions, if he does shoot every time he gets the ball within 30 yards of goal like he seems to I'll be fuming except for when they go in.

But hey, Moyes has done it before and this might be another great signing. He could be good.

What about Demba Ba? He was a bosman. Pienaar was £2m. There has and always will be quality for small prices. It's just harder to find.

I haven exactly been jumping for joy about this news , hope he does well and that if he joins , but im slightly worried that we are using funds and wages that could be used in other areas , this hardly makes me less of an Irish fan .

I think all Evertonians will get behind the lad when he signs , but people are allowed to expess an opinion if they aren best pleased with who we are signing , or has it come to a case of , lets just be pleased we have signed someone whatever their football ability .

Yes, I realise this, but a non-playmaker CM should be our last priority.

We'll see anyway. If we bring in some other players my fume levels will come down. But unless we sell a big player I can't see where the money for more players will come from.
