Not only can he pick a pass but is a serious goal threat too. Both lacking in our midfield.
Please the football gods he stays fit.

If I was him I'd be expecting to start one of the next 3 games. He's proven he's ready so if Martinez doesn't give him a start I don't think he'll be happy with bench warming. I'm not saying he's god's gift but he's earned the right to be given a chance.

He is still getting back to match fitness after a very nasty injury, think we'll only see him back to his best in the New Year.

Which could be a perfect time as Barry won't have the international breaks to rest by then and the games come thick and fast. Hopefully he will get some game time with Ireland over the next coup,e of weeks as well to help build up his stamina.

Best passer of the ball at the club. When you think how effective he was when he first signed for us, we were unbeaten for a long time in the games he played. Would be wonderful to see him injury free and back in the side. When you consider he would now have the likes of miralles, Naismith, Barkley and eto in front of him who have great movement and find space so well, gibbo could still be a very important player for us.

I think it says a lot about some of our own fans when the daily mail of all people are highlighting Gibson for a fair appraisal of his performance.

"3. Gareth Barry's nasty injury at Sunderland gave Darron Gibson a chance to return to Premier League action – and the former Manchester United midfielder seized the opportunity.

The 26-year-old, out for 11 months after cruciate ligament surgery, had played just eight minutes of League football so far.

But after replacing Barry at Sunderland with just 13 minutes gone he performed like he'd not been away.

No Premier League player all weekend hit more accurate passes in the attacking half than the 52 that Gibson produced – just a shame none of them got turned into a goal in the 1-1 draw."
